Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Operations Collective.

You will be part of a multicultural, innovative, versatile, supportive environment that takes work-life balance seriously. To have a data driven company is one of our priorities. The Operations Collective ensures that buyers and sellers have a smooth experience to fulfill and receive their ordered items. This includes Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Authentication, Customer Service and Quality Control. On top of Operations we also work on making Vestiaire a global platform that users across the world can use. This starts with managing translations and includes all localization efforts.

What you'll do

  • You will build full pipelines for models to solve use cases for fashion discovery (product recommendation, ranking, personalization) 
  • You will collaborate with business and product and other engineers and applied scientists
  • You will have to keep in mind the needs for model maintenance, monitoring, and scalability
  • You’ll be able to propose and implement R&D POC projects if you identify possible enhancements to the business, and pitch them to the relevant teams
  • You will be expected to take on a leadership role on your projects: you will make the appropriate technical choices (algorithms, data transformation, technologies to use), discuss scope & scheduling with collaborators outside the team, and incorporate feedback as needed

Who you are

  • Strong experience in delivering Machine Learning projects which have created impact
  • Technical knowledge in Python, SQL, Machine learning & Statistics
  • Broad interests in DS and adjacent topics: modelling, statistics, monitoring, data engineering, production
  • Experience with ElasticSearch, cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), Recommendation Engine, Computer Vision, AB testing and/or E-commerce a plus
  • Fluent English (technical interviews will be conducted in English)
  • Initiative, autonomous, fast learner, synthetic, communicating with technical and non technical people
