Do you enjoy leading large teams? Are you passionate about helping people and organizations thrive? KNKX is seeking a Full –time Director of Content to lead our news room. The Director of Content (DOC) supports KNKX’s mission to deliver jazz, blues and news that inspires, enlightens and connects our community. The position is also focused on the station’s vision to grow our audience and become a more inclusive organization that brings joy, meaning, and understanding into people’s lives.
The DOC plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-quality, memorable content to our audience, and is responsible for overseeing the development, production, and distribution of content that connects emotionally with listeners in Puget Sound, and to jazz audiences worldwide across multiple platforms. The DOC reports to the President and General Manager, and serves on the Senior Leadership Team. You will be empowered to problem solve and create unique to solutions to everyday newsroom problems as well as direct all production activities, including underwriting, promos, imaging & voice-tracking.
