What You’ll Do

Corporate Finance and Accounting (CFA) is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support organizational goals throughout the company. As Manager of IT Accounting, you’ll have a direct impact on ensuring The Standard’s key IT operational and project accounting and reporting functions are successfully supported. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all facets of accounting for IT operations and projects spend that occurs in the IT service division.
  • Support and guide project managers, IT Finance and IT leaders through the IT accounting and capitalization process.
  • Design, implement and monitor the internal control structure to facilitate accurate and complete financial reporting. 
  • Effectively communicate financial results to all levels of management and the IT finance team.
  • Evaluate and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting and data integrity. 
  • Oversee and supervise team performance and development:
  • Develop and maintain responsive communication with team members to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical performance factors and accurate financial information.
  • Lead through people: continue to support a high performing team’s growth and development.
  • Partner with the Corporate Accounting and Reporting Team during quarterly and annual reporting periods to support key functions within the corporate finance division.
  • Communicate conclusions and interpretations to key stakeholders across the organization including operational business units and upper-level management.
  • Prepare presentations for senior leaders and/or board of directors.

The Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other appropriate subject matter area. CPA, CMA, or appropriate subject matter designation required.
  • Experience: 6 - 10 years financial and accounting experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience:
  • Experience in a rapidly changing environment and comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change.
  • Experience analyzing complex transactions, processes or policies and documenting conclusion in memorandums or ad hoc deliverables.
  • Knowledge & Skills: 
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP. 
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required, and experience with large ERP system preferred (Workday), Power BI or other big data analytical software a plus.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$92,750.00 - $148,500.00
