UW Facilities (UWF) is one of the largest and most diverse administrative units on the Seattle campus supporting a large urban campus. UWF manages the University’s buildings, infrastructure and land, with more than 1,100 employees in a variety of fields. Our teams can be organized into four main groups: Finance & Administration, Asset Management, Operations, and Business Intelligence.
We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to be responsible for high-level financial data management and analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst position requires excellent skills in gathering, analyzing, and reporting financial data and other data, often originating from multiple sources. This position is an integral member of the Director’s Financial Analysis team and must be adaptable, flexible, and able to manage a high volume of work.
Position Complexities
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position requires a knowledgeable, innovative, creative, highly motivated, team-oriented individual. A proactive and positive business approach focused on meeting current and future needs where metrics and knowledge derived from data will play a critical role in executive level decision-making. The senior analyst must meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovation, respond effectively when dealing with tight deadlines, be proactive, and work as a collaborative team member with other senior financial analysts and managers. Additionally, must be able to work with a variety of staff and managers at various levels across UWF and be adept at developing summary information at the appropriate level of detail for various audiences.
Position Dimensions and Impact to the University
UWF is the largest administrative unit on campus with a diverse set of responsibilities. The complexities of multiple funding sources, cost allocations, and many business units within UWF requires a financial professional who can span from detailed analyses to developing big picture presentations. This individual must develop an in-depth knowledge of the complexities surrounding UWF and financial data to provide accurate and pertinent analyses.
This position is an integral member of the UWF Finance & Administration team and must be adaptable, flexible, and able to manage a high volume of work. A team-oriented approach is essential, coupled with a proactive and positive business approach focused on meeting current and future needs.
