A Ziff Davis sales planner manages phases of the pre- sale digital campaign process, including creating media plans/request for proposals, gathering campaign assets and informing cross functional teams on necessary criteria to launch & optimize campaigns to best achieve our clients’ goals.

Responsibilities include responding to requests for proposals via client templated forms and managing proposal development; recommending ad placements and content channels based on client’s campaign objectives; researching user data and audience metrics; analyzing market/category trends; and working with the sales team using continuous communication to manage current client needs and pursue net new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate should possess strategic media planning capabilities and experience supporting online media sales or buying teams. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a sales role in 18 – 24 months or explore other departments within our exciting ad tech portfolio (account management, trade marketing, product marketing, etc).

  • Create a high volume of RFP specific proposals.
  • Tell stories with data using our syndicated research and proprietary analytics.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Two years of online sales assistant experience.
  • Creativity, especially when it comes to describing and matching our capabilities to client needs.
  • Solution oriented mindsets and hands-on learning styles 
  • People skills. This role includes front-line work with our most important customers as well as lots of interaction with Ziff Davis colleagues. Open communication and tailoring to your audience will get you far!
  • Familiarity with syndicated research and web analytics.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite PowerPoint impresarios & Excel gurus are our favorite candidates.
