YOUR ROLE

Our Contract Logistics Solution Design team who provides innovative and cost-effective customer solutions have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and analytically focused Warehouse Solution Design Engineer.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into a Warehouse Solution Design Manager, you will provide detailed analytical support and engage in best practice solution design for new business propositions and contract renewals. Your main focuses of responsibility will be:

  • Independently undertake projects from data analysis and warehouse modelling to the preparation of detailed costings using warehouse design tools.
  • Aid senior management with the production of proposals, producing tangible outcomes and contributing to key presentations.
  • Conduct operational solution reviews alongside business development managers to gain operational sign off.
  • Complete all design and analytical tasks in accordance with agreed timescales.
  • Actively contribute to key contract implementations and other offsite projects that requires solution design expertise.

This is a highly visible and varied role that will see you playing a pivotal part in designing and implementing warehousing solutions for our customers, the role requires a flexible approach to travel and on-site support, therefore you must hold a clean UK Driving License and be comfortable traveling across the UK and Ireland.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

To be successful in your application you will already be operating in a solutions design role experienced in a wide range of projects with a thorough understanding of warehouse operations. You will have previously prepared warehouse layouts, analysed operational costs and be competent in using various modelling software, such as AutoCAD or equivalent. Experience of one or more of the following sectors- E-Commerce, Healthcare, Consumer Retail, Technology, Automotive, Industrial, Food and Beverage.

You will possess exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, able to interpret and present complex information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to build strong working relationships with stakeholder groups and practiced in partnering with project management and business development teams.

It would be desirable if you have experience of working in third party logistics environments and practiced in new business implementations.
