Job Description and Responsibilities:

As Head of Human Resources, you will oversee all aspects of the HR function including, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, HR policies and procedures, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, as well as providing strategic guidance and support to senior management on human capital matters.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
  • Develop and administer compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead and support the development and implementation of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, and advise management on potential impacts.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook, ensuring clarity, consistency, and fairness.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior management on HR-related matters, including organizational structure, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with demonstrated experience ensuring compliance.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive business results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of progressive experience in human resources management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) preferred

Pay Transparency:

Based on California law, the following details are for California individuals only:

California base salary range: 

$175,000—$210,000 USD

For Full-Time Employees, your compensation package will include two major components: salary and equity. Guidance on salary for this role will be determined according to the level at which you enter the organization, with the ability to gain more over time as you contribute. In addition, Full-Time Employees are eligible for the following benefits listed below.
