Job SummaryThe Autophagy & Metabolism group is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative individual to work as a Scientist II on translational and basic biomedical research in neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases.

Our research focuses on elucidating the roles of autophagy and metabolism in normal cells/animals and in human diseases, utilizing a variety of techniques including transcriptomics/proteomics/metabolomics, other biochemical and cell biological assays, mouse behavioral tests, and confocal/intravital/mass spectrometric imaging.

Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesLipid biochemistry, drug delivery/formulation, pharmacokinetics, click chemistry, primary neuron/astrocyte culture, cell culture, flow cytometry, TEM, fluorescence microscopy, histology, immunoprecipitation/Co-IP, and behavioral analyses.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes

Preferred Education/ExperiencePrior experience on autophagy, lipid metabolism, neuroscience, drug development, and technology commercialization is preferred.
