About the Role 

iCapital is looking to hire a Vice President of Business Development, who will work strategically and tactically to grow iCapital’s licensed technology business across both wealth management and asset management with a primary focus on Architect, iCapital’s portfolio construction software. The ideal candidate has an exceptional ability to prioritize opportunities across a range of client types and will work collaboratively across internal departments to drive optimal outcomes for our clients and partners. 

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the go-to-market strategy for iCapital Architect, a first-of-its-kind portfolio construction tool that enables financial advisors and asset managers to build and analyze portfolios that include alternative assets. 
  • Manage the entire sales process including target identification, pipeline generation, opportunity management, product demonstrations/solutioning, proposal creation/delivery, and commercial negotiation. 
  • Drive the development of new business relationships with the largest and most strategic global wealth managers and fund sponsors. 
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Solutions team to identify and execute on incremental Digital Solutions opportunities that are complimentary and additive to existing clients’ books of business. 
  • Develop strategies for acquiring new revenue streams through the expansion of iCapital’s target client types, geographies, and use cases within the fund sponsor world. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years’ experience in fintech sales and/or alternative investments 
  • Experience working for or with wealth management, wealthtech or fintech firms is highly preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of alternatives and/or structured investments is highly preferred
  • Able to manage both fully operational and greenfield opportunities that are in formative stages
  • Deep understanding and passion for innovative technology solutions and ability to articulate the value/potential of partnering with iCapital
  • Quantitative background (familiarity with factor-based risk analysis is a plus)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills—both verbal and written
  • Able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred 

Benefits 

The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $170,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
