The Mathematics Department at Bucknell University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in mathematics, to begin August 1, 2024. We expect to hire at the Assistant Professor level. Dedicated teacher-scholars from all areas of mathematics are encouraged to apply. Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. in Mathematics, a strong commitment to teaching, and a high potential for research. We seek a colleague who will contribute to the department’s focus on inclusivity and its liberal arts mission and we welcome candidates who demonstrate excellence in reflective multicultural and inclusive teaching practices and who display a strong commitment to collaboration and interdisciplinarity.

We ask that you address your interest in working at a primarily undergraduate institution in your cover letter and/or teaching statement. Any discussion of undergraduate research should appear in the research statement. Your diversity statement should address your past actions and/or personal experiences related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially as it relates to barriers facing traditionally underrepresented groups. This statement should also discuss how these actions and/or experiences will inform your future approach to teaching and service.
