Communications Specialist (Intern)

The Program

Join us for a 12-week paid summer internship designed to let you apply your classroom learnings to real world challenges. Our internships have a thoughtful balance of networking, executive speakers, community involvement, big meaty projects (no paper filing here!) and fun!


Responsibilities:

Four-year university students who are working in a technical internship role at hp during their study or in summer breaks between university semesters.

Education and Experience Required:

High School Degree 3rd Year of University completed--typically a technical degree specialization.

Responsibilities can be, but not limited to:

  • Supporting communications efforts at HP including content creation and copy editing, product launches, media relations, employee communications, events execution, and thought leadership across a variety of geographies.
  • Supporting development of communications plans and materials in support of business and product news and launch activities.
  • Supporting media and influencer relations with research, media pitches, social copy, briefing prep materials and coverage reports.
  • Support social and digital strategy execution.
  • Direct responsibilities of the internship will vary based on the hiring manager and the needs of the Corporate Affairs organization.

  • Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in May 2025


Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $21 -- $24 hourly. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
