CACI is seeking a talented Software Automation and Test Software Engineer in Chantilly, VA. You will work with a fast-paced, technically diverse team that develops and supports infrastructure for software-based signal processing applications on future electronic warfare systems. You will participate in full IT Systems Development Life Cycle with a focus on development, integration, and maintenance of new and existing Mission Systems. You will support design and implementation of new capabilities to monitor, maintain, and support the mission such as Change/Baseline Management processes and tools, Health and Status monitoring and reporting, and contributing to the evolution of the electronic warfare enterprise. You will install and patch Enterprise Linux baselines, configure and manage diverse hardware, implement security hardening, troubleshoot operational issues, and create and maintain required documentation. You will interface with and support internal engineering and development teams.

More About the Role:

Responsible for determining optimal approach to testing complex products or solutions in order to assure compliance with applicable specifications. This includes identifying and recommending product or solution characteristics that optimize their ability to be tested or to provide test data for diagnostic purposes. Combines customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3 years of related experience in Software integration and test
  • A background in digital signal processing (DSP) and communication theory
  • Experience programming in either Python, Java, C++ or any object-oriented or functional language
  • Linux software development experience
  • Active Top Secret Clearance (with active or ability to obtain SCI)
  • Bachelors degree in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering) or 5 additional years of experience

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of software defined radio systems: receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation; techniques, spectral analysis
  • Works well in a small team environment.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of geolocation and DF algorithms
