This role is an excellent, challenging career opportunity for an experienced marketer to lead the partner marketing activity for NTT Ltd’s alliances partnerships with a key focus on the Microsoft partnership. The role is mainly focused on developing impactful Partner Alliances demand generation programs, driving internal and external awareness for our joint capabilities, developing compelling content, case studies and thought leadership material, growing, and strengthening the relationship with our Alliances Partners with a special focus on Microsoft. The role serves as the primary marketing interface with the partner/s by acting as NTT Ltd’s advocate and marketing subject matter expert for the partnership/s.

This is a key role within the Alliances Partner Marketing team, requiring the job holder to be market driven and have a good understanding of NTT Ltd’s cloud/DC, security, collaboration, networking & services capabilities. This role encompasses partnership value proposition development and marketing programs to build sales pipeline.

What you'll be doing

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Joint partner marketing strategy

  • Work closely with global and regional Marketing functions as well as the Global and Regional Alliance partner leads, Divisional marketing leads and the Head of the Global Microsoft Alliance NTT Data Corp to build a robust marketing strategy and plan as well as to manage the strategic partnership with Microsoft.
  • Develop a one, two and three-year strategic marketing plan – in collaboration with global and regional marketing, divisional stakeholders, as well as partner counterparts – to translate strategic business objectives into executable marketing programs and tactics (striking a balance between global marketing and regional lead generation activity).
  • Drive revenue, brand and communication plans and programs aligned to joint NTT Ltd’s and partners’ business objectives:
  • drive the global joint go-to-market plan.
  • focus on differentiated solutions/services positioning.
  • understand market trends and competitive plays.
  • maintenance of branding, digital platforms and collateral

Joint strategic investment agreements

  • Develop and manage the joint global strategic investment agreements to meet the organizations’ business, marketing, and sales objectives.
  • Drive awareness of the joint program/value proposition, as well as in-region demand generation to drive NTT Ltd. and partner pipeline, across all organizations’ stakeholders.
  • Enabling our mutual teams to articulate the benefits of these initiatives and ensuring that the agree deliverables are met.
  • Track, measure and report on the ROI, and financial aspects of these agreements.
  • Work closely on executing on the Global Microsoft SAIA Agreement and associated Co-Op funding driving focused marketing plans for NTT Ltd.

Sales enablement

  • Work with Solutions Marketing and Sales Enablement functions to develop collateral, tools and programs (aligned to global initiatives) that will equip NTT’s, as well as the partners’ sales organizations to sell together.
  • Understand what partner-developed training materials, systems and tools are accessible to NTT, and how to utilize these, where applicable.

Partnership communication

Develop and execute a communications plan and cadence into NTT and the Partner that will:

  • Keep the partnership top of mind in the organizations
  • Develop and manage structured communication and engagement plan i.e., quarterly business reviews (QBRs), quarterly marketing reviews (QMRs), partner and business updates across digital platforms, newsletters, collateral and case studies, etc.

Communications and thought leadership programs

Drive both strategic and tactical brand-building opportunities, in the form of:

  • Big-ticket case studies
  • Social media
  • Events
  • Speaking opportunities
  • Partner awards
  • Joint blogs

Budget management

  • Understand how to access partner marketing, and program funds to drive joint global and regional marketing activities supporting brand awareness and revenue goals.
  • Actively looking for/developing opportunities to utilize these funds to benefit NTT, as well as the partner.
  • Develop and manage the allocated marketing budget, partner funding, and ensure that all marketing initiatives are delivered within the budget.
  • Ensure all proof of execution (POE) is submitted in accordance with the Partner’s processes and timelines
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure all Partner funds are recorded and accounted for in the P&L
  • Manage the Microsoft Co-Op funds within Partner Centre and provide budget splits to Regions and other Partner Co-Op funds as relevant.

Reporting and metrics

  • Ownership of metrics/measurement, i.e., key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting, of joint marketing activities against agreed initiatives, communications of joint successes as outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Monitoring and analysing the effectiveness of marketing activities, providing Partner with updates on campaign and marketing activity performance, taking measure to introduce corrective actions to improve performance.

Partner Marketing Campaigns & Programs

  • Engage with various stakeholders throughout the business to identify a portfolio of opportunities for joint campaigns and activities with the Partner, ensuring close business alignment, regional buy-in and partner relevance.
  • Actively engage with Alliance and business leads to encourage participation and investment in the programs and activities.
  • Overall project management of the Partner marketing programs and plans including:
  • developing and maintaining project plans around the deliverables associated with the program.
  • regular communication between all stakeholders – partners, product marketing leads, alliances, regional marketing.
  • working closely with campaign marketing leads to create messaging and align to campaign messaging, bringing in partners’ priorities.
  • engaging with regions to drive execution of the tools created through the program.
  • managing systems and processes to ensure we are reporting back to our stakeholders on partner investment, ROI and latest deliverable scorecards.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Highly collaborative – ensure alignment and build optimal relationships with key stakeholders on different levels across organizations
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Exposure and understanding of different cultures and approaches
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of NTT’s cloud, collaboration, networking and security capabilities & services, target markets and strategic ambition
  • Great program management skills with the capability to juggle a range of projects and consistently deliver results
  • Ability to operate within a matrix environment
  • Ability to take a holistic view without compromising detail and robustness of the program

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • A relevant degree in Sales or Marketing Management

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 8+ years’ work experience, of which a minimum of 2 years should be in Partner/Alliance Marketing or Marketing Management within the IT industry 
  • Marketing experience with the Microsoft Partnership and knowledge of Microsoft Partner Programs is a significant benefit
  • Experience in a multi-national environment is preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets (especially Partner MDF/Co-Op funds a benefit)
  • A proven record of accomplishment in:
  • Developing business plans and multi-phase programs across multiple geographies.
  • Developing and driving executive awareness and interaction, partner campaigns, value propositions, sales enablement and in partner organizations.
  • Developing and executing marketing plans, funding sourcing, budget management and multi-phase programs.
