The Annual Philanthropy team has an exciting opening for a Digital Fundraising Specialist. This is a full-time, temporary nine-month position.

This role will join a dynamic team of fundraising professionals responsible for creating innovative strategies that engage and cultivate new generations of philanthropists in support of the University’s mission. The Digital Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for helping build and support fundraising strategies that emphasize personalized communications at scale.

The Digital Fundraising Specialist will focus on supporting the growth of digital giving programs and enhancing the digital donor experience. This position contributes significantly to the development and implementation of digital fundraising strategies that increase donor participation and fundraising revenue.

What You Will Do:

Digital fundraising (95%)

  • Leverage digital tools to build relationships, execute outreach strategies, and track engagement and fundraising results for program optimization.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments across University Advancement to align digital fundraising efforts with broader institutional goals.
  • Plan and execute the University’s Giving Day campaigns.
  • Work within the UW’s brand voice, both in visual representation and editorial style, to support the consistency of messaging across campaigns and the organization.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of digital fundraising activities and campaigns; use data to make informed decisions and optimize fundraising strategies.
  • Stay up to date on digital fundraising practices and trends; explore and recommend new digital tools and strategies to enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Support and contribute to the overall objectives of the Annual Philanthropy team.

  • Knowledge of and proven ability to develop and implement digital fundraising strategies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret relevant data to improve fundraising efforts across various digital channels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity, organizational ability and strong attention to detail.
  • Propensity for innovation and the pursuit of process improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree AND three years’ experience in email/digital marketing, fundraising or related field.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
