Job Description:

We are seeking an inventive and creative intern to join our team!

The Marketing Communications Intern interacts with teams throughout the organization to plan, develop and implement messaging for promotion of product awareness, events, business plans and marketing communications. This role will support the marketing team with research, presentation preparation, and campaign development. This role will also drive special projects.

This role collaborates with many internal and external customers such as Sales, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Health Care Providers, Vendors, Publications and Agencies.

Potential Functions: (Assumes 3-5 of these tasks per Internship)

  • Creates and manages marketing content and collateral including concept, content and oversite of production. Includes editing and proof-reading. 
  • Responsible for creating the content for the website, email and social media channels.
  • Website content review and updates.
  • Packaging review/analysis, updates and implementation.
  • Ensures consistency of messaging and branding across product segments, business unit and company.
  • Works with creative team on photo/video shoot planning and execution.
  • Manages print and digital asset inventory to ensure creative alignment across all marketing channels.
  • Marketing material management through 3rd party vendors – collateral, POP – ensuring stock is available as needed.
  • Organizes and manages calendars & databases.
  • Leads execution of the approval process, including uploading of all final marketing and creative assets to regulatory system.
  • Ensures timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Helps develop and maintain marketing calendars, budgets and campaigns.
  • Supports public relations activities and initiatives, as needed.
  • Collaborate with the sales or marketing representatives to fully understand product and communication needs.
  • Assist in overall monthly and campaign-level reporting of marketing KPI performance vs. goals.
  • Provide analytics on the effectiveness of all marketing efforts.

Education/Experience:

  • Earning a Bachelor’s degree with major in marketing, journalism, business, engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferences for experience:

  • Project experience in downstream marketing. 
  • Knowledge and experience working with creative teams and developers.

Demonstrated communications skills, proven leadership ability, and desire to learn.

  • Must have demonstrated experience working in teams.

Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
