Alvarez & Marsal, a premier professional services firm with almost 9,000 professionals globally, is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Knowledge Management Senior Analyst to join our Knowledge Management Business Partner (KMBP) team. The role is part of a developing KM capability, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in contributing to the development of our team and offerings. The successful candidate will support existing and future efforts designed to facilitate knowledge sharing within the firm.

Principal responsibilities

Partner with A&M business units on KM initiatives

  • Support the design and development of KM future-state processes and tools that align with business-unit objectives.
  • Lead projects to implement KM processes and adapt them to different stakeholder groups.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and identify opportunities to extend KM service offerings to new areas of the business.
  • Foster relationships and serve as a liaison between A&M’s business units and the central knowledge management team.

Collaborate with other KM team members

  • Support KM team members on initiatives both within and beyond immediate region.
  • Share knowledge of processes, approaches, methods, tools/platforms etc. with team colleagues so the team can leverage its collective experience across the globe.
  • Provide insight into business needs, initiatives, and end-user experience to help ensure global KM service offerings remain relevant and aligned to overall strategy.

Grow KM knowledge and expertise

  • Identify internal and external KM trends and best practices; communicate and promote these to business-unit KM contacts.
  • Help develop and evolve KM standards and best practices that can be applied across the firm.
  • Champion knowledge sharing and encourage the adoption of KM best practices throughout the region and firm.

General

  • Demonstrate a willingness to assist with tasks outside immediate key role requirements for the benefit of overall organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of professional knowledge or content management experience preferred.
  • Sustained interest in the KM discipline, as demonstrated through education (degree/coursework in KM, library science, or related fields) or on-the-job learning.
  • Microsoft 365 and SharePoint experience preferred.

Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Experience working in KM at a professional services or consultancy firm.
  • Experience with KM and content management approaches (e.g., communities, document libraries, taxonomy and metadata, curation, content analytics)
  • Consultative approach when partnering with the business.
  • Exceptionally close attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset. Be able to self-motivate and work alone and unsupervised.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ‘grit’ in their perseverance of effort and resilience to challenge, in order to accomplish long-term goals and further develop KM capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively interact with and influence multiple stakeholder groups and senior management.
  • Works well under pressure; flexible work style.
  • Excellent communication skills and receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas and solutions for technical and non-technical audiences.

The salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
