The Opportunity

As a Studies Success Project Manager (SSPM), you'll play a pivotal role in driving our research initiatives forward. You'll oversee the entire research project lifecycle, successfully planning, implementing, and executing studies of varying size and complexity, while ensuring they are being executed on time and within scope. You'll be the lead point of contact for each customer deal, representing PicnicHealth externally to clients, ensuring the deal progresses smoothly and that our customers have a positive and productive experience with PicnicHealth. You'll collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, including epidemiologists, biostatisticians, patient recruitment, operations, and product to ensure high-quality study set-up, data collection, and analysis. 

As the SSPM you’ll:

  • Manage all internal and external project management aspects of assigned research study, ensuring adherence to study scope, protocols, timelines, and budgets;
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships, understanding the project details and how it relates to their research goals while also identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, including expanding a project’s scope; 
  • Manage customer expectations appropriately to keep work within scope and working with sales to implement change orders as needed for scope expansions; 
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the internal project teams and customers, leading regular check-in and major study milestone meetings to keep all relevant stakeholders informed, address any challenges proactively, and keep the study on track;
  • Ensure successful and timely execution of study designs, patient recruitment, data collection, and analytics efforts;
  • Monitor project progress, identify and develop appropriate solutions to mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure a successful study outcome;
  • Where needed, manage external vendor workstreams for the relevant research studies;
  • Analyze data and generate reports to track project progress and identify and effectively communicate key findings with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of functional area SOPs, guidance documents and forms, as well as to evaluation of existing processes and tools, and prepare new tools as needed;
  • Work internally to inform and influence how we build scalable and tech-enabled systems to execute on studies more efficiently

You are a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in life science area, or public health along with 5 years working in the clinical trials/research industry, including 2-3 years leading and managing full-service research studies; 
  • Experience working with observational or low-interventional research studies, including both site-based and decentralized studies;
  • Understanding of the best practices for project management for the protocol development, launch, execution, and close out of a research study, including data submissions; 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and completing clinical research studies on time and within budget;
  • Strong understanding of clinical research regulations (e.g., ICH-GCP, HIPAA);
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills that can motivate other teams;
  • Solutions-oriented critical thinker that can develop mitigation plans for typical study challenges;
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Target Base Salary Range: $120k - $150k

The base salary PicnicHealth offers may vary depending upon the ultimate scope and responsibilities of the position and on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total package will include equity, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
