Job Summary:

In this position, you will evaluate and validate complex analog and mixed-signal microcontroller products for the number one supplier of automotive semiconductors.

  • Responsible for the development and execution of validation test plans, collection of characterization data, and silicon failure analysis
  • Responsible for the development and automation of validation tests
  • Develop or enhancement test methodologies for future NPIs
  • Document Silicon Validation and Characterization findings

Key Challenges:

  • Able to analyze and troubleshoot failure mechanisms during silicon validation
  • Thrive on the discovery of silicon bugs while bringing them to the proper resolution
  • Produce accurate data reports with detailed analysis of validation findings
  • Develop innovative solutions for test automation and data collection

Cross functional aspects:

  • Work closely with verification, applications, and product/test engineering to resolve silicon design issues
  • Interact with design leads, senior IP designers, project managers, and the global validation community

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++
  • Experience using embedded software development tools and debuggers for ARM processors
  • Solid experience with lab measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of common interface standards such as JTAG, USB, I2C, CAN, SPI
  • Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, MIPI, ENET
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools such as MatLab and JMP
  • Understanding of Validation automation using LabVIEW, TestStand, Python
