The Opportunity:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Solutions Architect will plan the architecture and solution design for our Quality Engineering transformation. As a technical expert, you will support several Technology Business Services teams, vendors and implementation partners while providing direction to Application Engineering teams. You will survey the technology landscape and guide the evolution of the current environment to support future capabilities and requirements. You will report to the Team leader in the Application Engineering group.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Define strategy and tools for functional and non-functional testing for mission-critical systems
  • Design, configure and sets up quality engineering tools, both on-prem and cloud-based, to lead application development efficiencies and improve operational stability of the applications
  • Develop strategy and approach for all QE capabilities and Roadmaps in partnership with other technology groups (EA, I&O, Product teams) and adhere to security and audit systems and controls
  • Develop enterprise scale frameworks and foster the adoption of Test automation, Performance and Test data management tools and capabilities across Technology groups
  • Work with Quality Engineering, Application Development Team Leads to define Quality Engineering processes, standards, tools, best practices, execution strategies, roadmaps to connect current designs to long-term architecture
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Tools team to integrate Test automation suites as part of the CI/CD Deployment frameworks
  • Collaborate with Application Development Team Leads to maintain effective staffing within QE squad
  • Proactively coach all QE squad members on quality culture and provide technical support to conduct code reviews
  • Resolve issues, alerts, and incidents based on predefined service level agreements regarding system availability, performance, service levels and perform root cause analysis
  • Provide international and 24/7 support via on-call duties and working a flexible off-hours schedule for planned and unplanned maintenance

Your Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with automation and test data management tools such as Test Complete Pro, Ready API, NeoLoad, GenRocket, Delphix or other equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience with test data management tools such as Zephyr Scale/Zephyr Squad, TestRail, qTest, and HP ALM
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Lead functional (Test Automation) and non-functional testing (Performance & Security Testing) efforts of UI and API-based solutions
  • Architect and create test automation frameworks
  • DevOps tools, such as Github, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Tosca, AppDynamics, Splunk or equivalent
  • Develop Test applications in various SDLC methodologies such as Agile
  • Scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Groovy, Python, Java, .Net or PowerShell or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Aatlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence
  • Implementing insprint automation, BDD/TDD and relevant toolsets required
  • Relational database management skills like MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres or Mongo DB or equivalent
  • Help transform existing manual QA groups to a QE function with automation-first mindset
  • 2+ years' experience integrating test automation frameworks with DevOps pipelines in private cloud and public cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google or Amazon AWS cloud services or equivalent
  • Technology design expertise which includes Containerization, Performance, Security, Availability, Operations, Monitoring, and Support
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise applications development and Passion for software development and building scalable and reliable solutions
