About the role

MyEyeDr. is looking for an IT Product Manager with extensive experience supporting complex Point of Sales (POS) and Practice Management systems. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Field and Clinical Applications, this position will be responsible for leading and maintaining all field and clinical related projects and will work closely with business power users, technical development team in configuring these systems and defining effective business processes. 

This is a hybrid role with a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA or Raleigh, NC offices. 

You Will 

  • Be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle for multiple business processes. This includes:
  • gathering and prioritizing product requirements from the business­ team
  • transform requirements into technical specs
  • defining the product vision and roadmap
  • working closely with functional teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Ensure suggestions, ideas, and feature requests are captured as part of the product backlog as well as prioritize the backlog for development/implementation team
  • Serve as the product owner on agile teams or collaborate with product owners on agile teams
  • Work with Enterprise Architecture ensuring wholistic design and architecture for Integrations and other enabling other services across suite of products.
  • Be a gatekeeper providing validation that changes are ready to deploy including ensuring the that changes meets regulatory requirements and has obtained appropriate certifications
  • Support internal product and feature launches
  • Perform testing including functional, regression, user acceptance, integration and performance to verify that the requirements are met.
  • Perform post-production release validation testing on any new improvements or bug fixes
  • Impart training on implemented features/processes/workflows
  • Partner with leadership and manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Manage delivery from vendor teams that are onshore/offshore
  • Be a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for IT for internal and external teams
  • Lead, participate, deliver following services with the help of internal and external teams
  • Support new integrations to other in-house applications
  • Build new integrations to new third party vendor systems
  • Configure dormant/new functionality in existing process groups
  • Enable Client’s business growth via mergers and acquisitions by allowing the application to scale with Client

About You 

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or Management Information
  • 10+ years of professional experience managing POS systems.
  • 8+ years of vision specific industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge working with Patient Scheduling, Patient Check-In, Point Of Sales (POS), insurance, plan administration, patient eligibility, benefit schedules and Integrations with clinical systems
  • In-depth understanding of Insurance claim and revenue life cycle management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple teams, including vendor relationships and offshore teams
  • Experience in influencing business partners in making use of out-of-the box capabilities and following industry standard business processes.
  • Advanced SQL experience querying large data sets from multiple sources and developing automated reporting.
  • Review existing setups and recommend best practices.
  • Work independently with functional teams, vendor partners and development teams for completing assigned Projects.
