The Opportunity 

The VP Digital Commerce will oversee the eCommerce team at QVC US and support the management of a $5 billion web sales annual budget. This role will be responsible for developing the QVC US strategy development and innovation in conjunction with the QVC/HSN leader and have accountability for QVC eCommerce sales and digital experience and operations. You will be responsible for evolving and executing against a set of strategies to build and grow sales and a shared accountability to grow customer count and spend levels across merchandise categories and across Digital platforms.

Your Impact 

  • Strategy Development
  • Develop and drive strategies to increase engagement and conversion on digital platforms
  • Developing strategies to pursue growth and expansion of merch category growth, customer growth and customer experience and capabilities across all digital platforms; Optimization across all digital platforms
  • Responsible for the homepage strategies and developing new capabilities in programming the site, digital events and promotional strategies up to and inclusion conversion
  • Drives innovation and creates an environment that supports the continual testing of products and strategies 
  • Financial Management
  • Oversee execution to deliver on the financial plan across all merchandise categories and core digital platforms (computer web, mobile web, tablet web, mobile apps, Facebook, Instagram, email, search engines, direct mail, online affiliates, etc.)
  • Build the digital financial plan and forecast including Buy Anytime sales plan in partnership with Finance team
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Defining priorities and ensuring structure and alignment exists with internal partners in QVC US, (including Planning & Programming, Technology, Merchandising, Marketing & Content teams) to support and achieve established objectives; Working in partnership with internal partners, identify ways to enhance the customer experience with the goal of driving customer engagement, traffic, and sales
  • Build new capabilities for programming on the digital platforms and digital events and promotional strategies in partnership with peers 
  • Ensure the eCommerce team effectively integrates into the core merchandising’s overall portfolio strategy to accelerate the digital product assortment and inventory strategy to drive customer acquisition and revenue 
  • Relationship management of external partners to advance the digital experience strategies and capabilities of the team and organization overall
  • Leadership
  • Provide inspirational leadership to the QVC US Digital team in a hands-on/executional way; ability to dig into the details and set a high-quality bar for all inputs and outputs
  • Responsible for developing and sustaining a high performing and talented team with the right skills and leadership competencies; Define team priorities and ensure structure and alignment exists to support and achieve established objectives across the digital platforms; Sets clear goals for delivering growth in digital platforms in QVC
  • Act as a recognized and active expert in Digital platforms and ecommerce by continually educating and sharing work and knowledge with the Ecommerce team and internal partners

What You Bring 

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience is required; advanced degree in a related field preferred 
  • A minimum of 10 years of eCommerce leadership experience with a track record of proven success as a brand executive
  • Expert-level understanding of financial analysis and modeling; Proven execution against P&L performance targets in addition to tracking and delivering on key operations metrics (e.g. traffic, conversion, AOV, ROI, etc.)
  • Excellent understanding of internet-related technologies and eCommerce marketplace
  • Proven experience and understanding of emerging media platforms including eCommerce, mobile commerce, IP-based media and cable/broadcast television; Connected to the latest trends and evolutions impacting every part of the consumer journey
