Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr. HR Generalist located in Columbia, SC.

Reporting to the Sr. HRBP, the Sr. HR Generalist role involves both a strategic and hands-on partnership with the leadership team and the production floor to develop planning objectives to build a dynamic organization that delivers significant and sustainable growth.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Partner with site leaders to ensure understanding of organizations supported including key business and financial metrics, strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and workplace concerns
  • Advise and coach business leaders on policy interpretation and legal awareness, strategic HR matters, including organizational design and restructuring, talent management, career development, succession planning, compliance program, etc.
  • Coordinate and facilitate delivery of cyclical HR initiatives such as strategic recruiting, workforce planning, new hire training, performance review, talent review, succession planning, compensation planning and review for the business segment.
  • Ensures the consistent treatment of employees and the consistent application of human resources policies and procedures including training requirements.
  • Implement employee communication and feedback mechanisms via department meetings, employee satisfaction surveys, employee focus groups, and one-on-one meetings.
  • Implement appropriate HR Strategies to identify current and future workforce requirements and action to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
  • Clearly present information and prepare reports for management; gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics.
  • Employee onboarding programs for the site.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management or SHRM Certification; MBA a plus
  • Progressive experience in HR across all major functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with employees and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (written/verbal) accompanied with cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, collaborate, and lead as well as effective change management experience.
  • Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention, and reward programs.
  • A strong solution focus; comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Proficiency of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) will be a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
