The Plant Operations Supervisor is responsible for operations and management within the assigned areas of the Engineering department. Responsible for the participation and recommendations for the capital and operating budget process, merchandise /equipment procurement to Director with appropriate CAR / PAC submissions. Manages and assures appropriate maintenance of all major and minor utilities and repairs including supervision of tradesmen in the Central Energy Plant, HVAC shop and as assigned, improvement projects throughout the hospital. Recommends and participates in quality improvement projects, energy conservation, tracks and analyzes findings and implements improvements as needed. Assures that preventive and corrective maintenance is completed in a timely manner by all Engineering staff, and assures the cleanliness and presentation of all mechanical rooms. Assures compliance with Federal/State regulatory agencies, rules and regulations concerning utility management, maintaining documentation logs as per each appropriate regulatory agency. Working with leaders throughout the facility, assures good communication regarding tasks between engineering staff and departments within the hospital. Maintains all appropriate inventories of replacement parts. Is responsible for the management of all Engineering staff when the Director and engineering manager are out of the building or unavailable. Completes ninety day and annual reviews on all HVAC / CEP staff. Coordinates and schedules monthly meetings for all engineering staff. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Participates in the Emergency Management program, serving as a leader and assisting the Emergency management Manager as needed. Performs as requested, education to hospital staff including new employee orientation. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School or GED Diploma
4 years experience with centrifugal chillers, DX chillers.
3 – 4 years at the apprentice level with Technical School background.
3-4 years with training for all refrigeration, ice machines.
CEC and/or HVAC Journeyman’s license.
All required licenses in HVAC mechanics.
