POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sr. Analyst, Insights & Analytics plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and providing actionable insights across various areas, including sales and promotional reporting, LTO (Limited Time Offer) analysis, loyalty program evaluation, pricing planning, and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate detailed reports on sales performance and promotional effectiveness.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate the impact of Limited Time Offers on sales and customer behavior.
  • Develop forecasts for future LTOs based on historical data and market trends.
  • Analyze loyalty program data to understand member behavior and engagement.
  • Provide insights to enhance the effectiveness of the loyalty program.
  • Collaborate with the Director and consultants on pricing strategies.
  • Conduct pricing execution and review with cross-functional partners.
  • Design and create dashboards that provide a visual representation of key performance metrics.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and support informed decision-making.
  • Generate actionable insights through in-depth analysis of various business aspects.
  • Lead cross-functional team discussions to understand business needs and challenges.
  • Utilize historical data and market trends to forecast same-store sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to optimize store performance.
  • Manage and track advertising funds to ensure effective allocation.
  • Provide forecasts to guide strategic planning and budgeting.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by leadership.
  • Address urgent business questions through timely and accurate data analysis.
  • Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Education/Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics or Marketing Analytics. 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or marketing preferred, with a preference for the restaurant/retail industry with multi-units

License/Certifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of marketing concepts, channels, and customer behavior.
  • Ability to align analytical findings with marketing strategy and business goals.
  • Exposure to enterprise planning and/or business intelligence software such as Cognos, preferred.
  • Confidence in execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Must be decisive and able to make fact-based decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and skills; meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners. 
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret complex reports, documents, and correspondence. 
  • High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, customized database applications, and internet research tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL). Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and tools.
  • Adept at managing and prioritizing competing time sensitive requests while working well in a team atmosphere that may be under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment on matters of significance to the company.
  • Ability to work weekends and extended work schedules as needed.
  • Must be willing and able to travel locally within Southern California and to out-of-state restaurant locations, as needed by car or airplane.

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.
