Jacobs is looking for a Senior Project Manager in Camden, Arkansas to support our federal client.

The Senior Project Manager will have responsibility for the overall leadership and management of the project. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the administration of all subcontracting, cost management, schedule, project progress and contractual issues. This position will be the onsite representative for client management and support the team for the successful delivery of all contractual requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, oversee and perform all project management duties including contract documents, schedule management, change management, budget management, subcontractor management, owner/architect relations, owner billings, provide monthly job forecast reports, typical project documentation, project closeout, etc.,
  • Participate in the design phase activity with engagement of technical and cost estimating disciplines.
  • Monitor and document contractor performance relating to approved scope of work and schedules for construction.
  • Apply construction management best practices and client processes to design and construction.
  • Coordinate with upper management and onsite project team.
  • Interpret construction documents and certify that work is performed in accordance with the contract.
  • Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy in progress delivery.
  • Review project schedules and critical path activities.
  • Perform technical scope and price-reasonableness evaluations of proposals for changes in the work.
  • Develop and maintain monthly financial and progress reports.
  • Lead the resolution of issues arising during construction and project handover stages.
  • Facilitate teamwork and collaboration to produce results that achieve client objectives.
  • Manage all project risks to clearly communicate and document project challenges to leadership and the project team.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents, plans, specifications, and construction means and methods.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive experience as a Project Manager or Construction Manager in a construction contracting or construction management organization.
  • College degree preferred in construction/architecture/engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or Certified Construction Manager preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of building construction, building systems and technology, contract management, project execution, team building and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success managing ground-up projects greater than $50 million in cost.
  • Experience with at-risk and/or design-build construction.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Project or Primavera P6 scheduling software preferred.
  • Experience with a large-scale commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience building federal, government or commercial projects successfully from start to finish.
  • Experience with manufacturing facility and/or industrial building construction.
  • Experience with construction of a campus setting.
  • In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, manpower, etc.,
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field operation teams.
  • US Citizenship.
