We are actively looking for an integration engineering teammate who is excited about developing solid and reliable integrations between our customers’ systems and Just Appraised. Our mission is to bring the best technology to governments so that they can work at the speed of Silicon Valley.

The Role

This is a full-time fully-remote opportunity to join a YC-backed startup founded by Stanford grads. As we are building multiple products from scratch, we need a teammate who trusts her/his gut and can make decisions quickly, has a ton of EQ and most importantly, can contribute code from day 1. The candidate should be comfortable making thoughtful decisions about the technology stack and have the practical skills to build an extensible and scalable product in an elegant way. This role plays an integral part in the delivery of professional services to our customers’ with on-premise deployments

Responsibilities

• Write shareable and customer specific code that can be deployed on-premise at customer sites
• Use entity frameworks that take JSON objects and generate SQL queries to update customer database tables
• Confirm / derive database mappings between our database and the customers fields
• Act as subject matter expert to advise Integration Specialists on best practices for importing data via API to the customers’ databases
• Integrate third party service APIs and libraries
• Design, prototype, write, test, refactor, review, debug, deploy, monitor, and occasionally be frustrated by code every day
• Continually discover, evaluate, and implement new ways to maximize development and execution efficiency

What We Value

• 3+ years development experience
• Proficiency with Java, JSON, C#, and version control tools like Git
• Experience deploying solutions as Windows Services (or ability to learn quickly)
• Proficiency with data structures, databases, SQL
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in teams of technical and highly non-technical individuals
• Demonstrated ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
• Skill and comfort working in a rapidly changing environment
• Manage time efficiently and focus on clear goals

Nice to Have

• Experience managing distributed, on-premise deployments
• Experience on Professional Services teams
