Job Description

Join us as a Senior Architect Mechatronics Technologies at Philips Innovation Engineering, playing a vital role in our growth. You will be a key contributor to multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with technical experts from Philips Innovation Engineering and our customers. You will lead and influence, ensuring high-quality design and actively contributing to innovation in our products or processes.

Your role:

  • Translation of user and business requirements into system models containing system requirements, high level system design, risk management, integration and verification via defined test strategies
  • Definition and management of technical budgets, resulting in a system decomposition and allocation of derived requirements down to processes, HW/SW element and part level and related traceability
  • Trading-off between conflicting product/system design specifications, determining feasibility of potential solutions, and leading technical & design reviews.
  • Overall technical leadership and responsible for realization of full systems product release/life cycle management to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Ensuring product safety and reliability, following regulatory compliance

You're the right fit if you have:

  • MSc or PhD degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a System Engineer\Technologist with knowledge in product and process development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address fundamental issues based on unique knowledge in the professional field.
  • Capable of generating, leading, and executing technological improvement initiatives in collaboration with specialists.
  • Proven track record of substantial contributions to the innovation process, effectively communicating new insights within the business.
  • Experienced in working according to the V-model, defining requirements, supervising tests, and reporting results.
  • experience as a team player, capable of leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and able to steer and supervise high level and detailed design of products and systems (create schedules, and assign parts projects to members of staff)
  • Expertise in at least one of the domains - medical equipment, high precision mechatronics, or manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with regulations for developing medical devices and equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% and/or work at the customer location (internationally in Europe).

Advantages :

  • GreenBelt or BlackBelt certification (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • The position is not open for relocation
