About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking several EHR Configuration and Integration Analysts. Analysts will be deployed to support the implementation efforts needed to complete current state assessments and workflow documentation to ensure that business operations are clearly understood. These resources will play a critical role in supporting the client business teams, facility project teams, and other external stakeholders by leveraging their subject matter expertise to drive best practices and ensure requirements are implemented to fulfill the business need. Our client is embarking on various modernization projects including but not limited to the implementation of an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, Bed Registry, Electronic Licensing systems, just to name a few.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This Clinical Integrations Engineer role will drive Clinical Integration efforts.
  • Be a trusted advisor to senior leaders regarding clinical integration efforts, developing a strong.

understanding of the organization’s integration needs.

  • Background in cloud related technologies, including architecture fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of EHR systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals and stakeholders.
  • Have a bias for action, understanding the important balance of speed and quality deliverables.
  • Monitor integration server performance and capacity against anticipated growth requirements.
  • Establish & maintain Lab interfaces with major clinical lab service organizations including (LabCorp, Quest,

etc.).

  • Establish & maintain medical device interfaces to improve clinical efficiency and increase patient safety.
  • Establish & maintain Hospital Integrations.
  • This includes data transformations, master data mapping, filtering and alerting.
  • Establish & maintain vendor integrations with systems where there is an established HIE.
  • Establish & maintain clinical imaging interfaces.
  • Lead small projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Cloud certifications in fundamentals, administration, or solutions architect (Azure, AWS, GCP) preferred .
  • General Experience:
  • Experience with EHR integrations (NextGen, Athena, EPIC, Cerner, eCW, etc.).
  • FHIR, CCD-A, HL7, JSON, APIs (build and consume), Kafka.
  • Experience with clinical imaging systems and devices (Fuji, GE, Ambra, Philips, Welch Allyn).
  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM, JIRA, Confluence, Kafka.
  • Computer networking/interfacing protocols and concepts (VPNs, HTTPS, SFTP, TCP, MLLP, etc.).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio, O365).
  • Deep understanding of interoperability and system integration.
  • Experience in overseeing the architecture and quality of deliverables from the clinical engineering teams.
  • Minimum of five (5) years developing integrations across disparate systems.
  • Minimum of two (2) years working with clinical systems.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with integration related coding languages and protocols (Javascript,

Java, python, CURL, HTTPS, JSON).

  • Specialized Experience:
  • Nursing, pharmacy, orders, physician documentation, and/or revenue cycle background is required for

Configuration Analysts. These roles should possess at least 5 years of EHR configuration experience.

  • Electronic Health Record specific certifications, this can include but is not limited to solution specific

certifications (i.e. Pharmacy, Core/Locations, Revenue Cycle, etc.).

Physical Requirements: No Physical requirement needed for this position.

Location: Onsite twice a week in Baltimore, MD
