The Content Manager is responsible for managing global Request for Proposal content through a disciplined review process coordinated amongst a network of State Street subject matter experts (SMEs). In addition, the individual will work with Product, Sales, Legal and Marketing teams to ensure we are positioning State Street competitively for additional revenue opportunities. This position provides an opportunity to join the Chief Commercial Officer Sales Enablement organization with career development potential towards migrating into a Sales Support, RFP Writer or Sales role.

  • Responsible for keeping RFP database content current. Initiate and manage review cycles with appropriate SMEs in accordance with content management procedures.
  • Ensure that the content is well-written, free of grammatical issues, adheres to our brand guidelines and compliance requirements. Offer suggestions to SMEs of ways to improve content.
  • Research and track new content submissions for potential inclusion in the database. Work with the Proposal Management teams to identify content development needs, new content resulting from RFPs (Close the Loop) and obtain feedback on SME engagement.
  • Discuss content needs, process, and future developments with subject matter experts; identify and train new contacts as needed.
  • Establish relationships with Product, Sales, Business Unit Leads, Sales Support, and Legal; develop a working knowledge of assigned content by participating in training opportunities and departmental meetings.
  • Fully understand and leverage the technology tools used by the team.
  • Actively contribute/manage team/departmental activities and special projects by sharing experiences, new ideas and results
  • Organize and prioritize tasks and deliverables to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly management reporting as required!
  • Assist with onboarding interns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

We seek an independent self-starter with experience successfully partnering with individuals and groups located around the globe. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to think creatively, to meet deadlines and build relationships. He/she will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business administration or finance; 2-3 years of related business experience
  • Excellent written English and the ability to write and edit content so it is clear, concise and persuasive.
  • Familiarity with investment servicing products (e.g. global custody and fund administration)
  • Provide excellent service and build strategic client partnerships based on knowledge of their needs and by exceeding mutual expectations.
  • Ability to acquire business knowledge quickly along with a demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.
  • Detail oriented, strong time management skills, ability to multitask, and works well in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Team player, self-motivated and able to take on various initiatives with minimal management oversight.
  • Solid technical skills; proven ability to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Broad familiarity and experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point; knowledge of RFP software a plus.

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $102,500 Annual
