Where We Need You:

We are seeking an Internal Communications Content Senior Manager to join our Global Communications Team based in either Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, or Charlotte.

What You Will Be Doing: 

In this role, you will play a central role in the collection and use of content within the Corporate Communications team. This position is critical to building strong internal relationships and to developing a content strategy that can drive complex communications campaigns and related programs in support of the company’s vision and key strategic initiatives across a variety of internal communications vehicles, including intranet (daily and weekly), electronic newsletters, events, and leader communications.

You actively partner with the Internal Communications Director, the Public Relations Director, subject matter experts and stakeholders to plan and deliver content through firmwide communications for global employees across existing and future communication channels promoting engagement, culture, and reputation. 

  • Create and implement the strategy for identifying, collecting, and organizing information to foster integrated communications programs for internal functions, bridging internal and external uses of content. This includes development and maintenance of editorial content calendars and coordination of plans across the fiscal year that organizes the content pipeline. 
  • Establish and manage an organizational framework that directs the collection and aggregation of information by communicators, marketers, writers and other content creators, ensuring repurposing occurs where possible so that content is developed efficiently and distributed across channels to the right audiences at the right time. 
  • Develop and publish high quality, visually rich, on-brand content that is professional, polished, fact checked, and adheres to AP style and company voice. Integrate company values and employee value proposition into storytelling. Propose and integrate appropriate imagery and graphics. 
  • Support the communications team with and guide others to conscientiously integrate tone, style and voice in messaging that is authentic, accurate, compelling and aligned with strategic objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain the firm’s editorial style guide and promote related resources/tools to support professional standards and consistency of brand tone, style and guidelines. 
  • Work collaboratively with other functions to build a productive relationship focused on leveraging content to maximize its impact. Find cross-promotional opportunities with team members and cross-functional colleagues. 
  • Partner with Protiviti’s Knowledge Management team and RH’s Digital Workplace teams on internal communications technologies and tools that are of benefit to the enterprise; act as key contact and represent Protiviti on evaluation and implementation process, as appropriate. 
  • Manage the content workflow system, partner with the communications team to track and manage incoming requests. 
  • Drive appropriate review, approval, testing, publishing and governance processes. 
  • Seek, analyze, and report feedback, readership, engagement metrics and other forms of measurement on an ongoing basis. Continuously and proactively identifies and implements improvements to address outcomes and align with business results. 
  • Advise on and leverage multimedia tools for creation and integration of compelling graphic and video content. 
  • Manage team members, contractors, freelance writers, and vendors, as appropriate 

What Will Make You Successful: 

  • Internal and external marketing communications experience in a complex business environment (Professional Services or Technology workplaces are a plus). 
  • Demonstrated experience with shaping narratives and developing communications plans and strategies in an integrated MarCom approach to engage stakeholders at key moments. 
  • Ability to use message maps, storytelling, content strategy and channel matrices to drive consistent, aligned, compelling communications that capture the attention of our people. 
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of communications and marketing strategies that support business goals. 
  • A relationship builder with proven ability to influence, collaborate with, direct team members/freelancers and mobilize stakeholders at all levels and across geographies. 
  • Excellent project management skills, the ability to multitask, set expectations and deliver, and drive projects through completion. 
  • Creative thinking and an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to solve complex problems in a structured, measurable way. 
  • Proactive and demonstrate a high degree of initiative. 
  • Curious, creative spirit and data-driven mindset. 
  • Experience working closely and collaboratively with senior leaders 
  • Experience developing creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges using a variety of communications mediums (written, presentations / speeches, digital-web-mobile-social and video/scripts). 
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in a variety of instances and tones: creative, persuasive, and technical. Knowledge of AP Style a must. 
  • Knowledge of SharePoint content publishing and familiarity working with DAM systems is an asset. 
  • Ability to travel to meetings and conferences as appropriate. 

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in a corporate communications or marketing function, with 5+ years of experience in content strategy. 
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Forms.
  • Experience with content workflow management and reporting tools (Asana, Workfront, Monday, etc.), content management systems, databases, Adobe Creative Suite, and online collaboration tools will be critical for this role.
