ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Summary:

The OTG Paid Summer Internship allows students to have an immersive, hands-on learning experience within OTG Management at our office at EWR Airport. The Intern will be assigned to one of the following parts of the business: Human Resources. The Intern will support the department by working on (but not limited to) special projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities and Project List:

  • Learn and uphold the organization's values, philosophy, ethics, integrity, and code of conduct.
  • Assist with various projects and research, as requested by the department.
  • Learn the ROB (rhythm of business.)
  • Special Projects might include:
  • Assist with information gathering for employee relations/investigations.
  • Work on audits for new hires as well as assist with orientation.
  • Badging and Employee engagement. 
  • Learn key functions and update/provide input based on Ceridian Dayforce, our HR (Human Resources) system.
  • Provide administrative support to the assigned department, as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of an Associate or bachelor's Program in an accredited College or University, pursuing a Human Resources/Sociology degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task. 
  • High levels of initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to take constructive feedback.
  • Successful in both an independent and team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity, with high energy and a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hospitality and customer experience oriented.
  • Previous experience/knowledge working in a position with high confidentiality.
  • Experience working within a cross-functional team.

Pay rate: $20 per hour
