Die Rolle:

Der Cosmetics Regulatory Affairs Scientist (m/w/d) ist verantwortlich für die Beratung von Entwicklungsprojekten, um die weltweite Einhaltung gesetzlicher kosmetikrechtlicher Vorschriften zu gewährleisten und für die Unterstützung des Projektteams.

Bei dieser Stelle handelt es sich um eine unbefristete Vollzeitstelle in Darmstadt.

Was Sie machen werden:

  • Verantwortlich für die globale regulatorische Bewertung von Entwicklungsprojekten innerhalb vereinbarter Zeitpläne
  • Vollständiges Verständnis und Kommunikation der Projektziele und Zeitpläne 
  • Beratende Funktion in Bezug auf regulatorische Fragestellungen, inklusive Support bei dem Nachweis/Akzeptanz von Werbeaussagen und der Überprüfung der Produktkennzeichnung
  • Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Funktionen, um Projekte zu unterstützen und abzuschließen (R&D PD Teams, SPLM, Safety, SCM, BCR, Claim support, Marketing, Education, Verbraucher-Hotlines usw.)
  • Ständige Kommunikation von Fortschritten und Herausforderungen mit Manager & Director
  • Monitoring von globalen regulatorischen Entwicklungen, die EURL-Produkte betreffend
  • Vertretung globaler Interessen von Kao in Verbandsarbeitsgruppen (Zusammenarbeit mit Wettbewerbern oder Branchenverbänden, z. B. IKW, Cosmetics Europe, etc.).
  • Überwachung von Newslettern und Regierungswebsites u.ä., sowie Kommunikation wesentlicher Änderungen oder Neuigkeiten
  • Koordination der Durchführung von Projekten nach neuen regulatorischen Anforderungen
  • Regulatorische Bewertung und Freigabe aller Rohstoffe, Formulierungen und Initiativen; wichtiger Ansprechpartner für Rohstofflieferanten

Was Sie mitbringen:

  • abgeschlossenes Studium der Naturwissenschaften idealerweise mit Schwerpunkt im Bereich Kosmetikrecht
  • Erfahrung in der Produktentwicklung und ein gutes Verständnis der kosmetischen regulatorischen Anforderungen (3 - 5 Jahre)
  • Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse
  • Versierter Umgang mit MS-Office 
  • fahrene/r Naturwissenschaftler/in (Chemiker/in) mit zusätzlicher Erfahrung im Bereich Kosmetikrecht (mind. 3 Jahre)
  • Ausgezeichnete kommunikative Fähigkeiten
  • Unabhängiger, zuverlässiger und überdurchschnittlicher Arbeitsstil
  • Offene/r Teamplayer/in

The Role:

The Cosmetics Regulatory Affairs Scientist (m/w/d) is responsible for global regulatory clearance and execution of product development projects and day to day support of project team.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Darmstadt.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for global regulatory clearance and execution of EURL development projects within agreed timelines
  • Full understanding and communication of project objectives and timings
  • Advisory function in relation to regulatory issues, including support in the proof/acceptance of advertising claims and review of product labelling
  • Cooperate with other functions to support and finalize projects (R&D PD Teams, SPLM, Safety, SCM, BCR, Marketing, Education, consumer hotlines, etc)
  • Constant communication of progress and challenges with Manager & Director
  • Follow global regulatory developments affecting EURL products and represent global Kao’s interest in association working groups (collaborate with competitors or industry associations, e.g. IKW, Cosmetics Europe, where appropriate
  • Monitoring of newsletters, government websites etc., and communicate significant changes or news
  • Co-ordinate the execution of regulatory maintenance projects
  • Regulatory evaluation and clearance of all raw materials, final products & initiatives; key contact to raw material suppliers

What you will need:

  • Degree in natural science ideally with a focus on cosmetic regulatory affairs
  • Experience of product development and a good understanding of cosmetic regulatory requirements (3 - 5 years)
  • Very good knowledge in English language (oral and written)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office
  • Experienced chemical scientist with experiences in the area of cosmetics regulatory affairs (at least 3 years)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Independent, reliable and above average dedicated work style
  • Teamplayer
