Position Summary:

The Nursing Assistant/Clinical Associate assists with the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility will be focused on performing diagnostic, therapeutic and administrative tasks and procedures for which they have been trained and/or licensed. The Clinical Associate must demonstrate the ability and willingness to participate in a Patient Care Team as a multi-skilled caregiver. Must be responsible for own work and remain flexible in response to change. This position requires a year-round commitment. Students interested in applying must be able to maintain hours throughout the year.

The Administrative Associate performs a variety of computer, clerical, and supply functions necessary for the operation of the nursing unit. Responsibilities include handling and controlling written and verbal communications between nursing unit, personnel and numerous physicians, ancillary services, patients, visitors and families, and the organization of the patient medical record.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year equivalent experience (e.g., home care, hospital, skilled nursing facility)
  • High school graduate or equivalent required and one of the following:
  • State CNA license
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program
  • Successful completion of 70 or greater hours of clinical experience in an NLN approved school of nursing
  • BLS (AHA) required within 90 days of hire.
