The Role:

As part of the Electrical Process Maintenance team, you will monitor and maintain the process plant and mining high voltage infrastructure, ensuring we continue to safely meet and exceed our throughput targets.

Working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, you will carry out servicing and electrical maintenance for electrical equipment within the team's area of responsibility. You will ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and effectively and be responsible for improving the use of scheduled maintenance time and minimising the impact of unscheduled works.

Key Tasks:

  • Ensuring all maintenance works and servicing of high voltage infrastructure are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures, systems and Australian standards
  • Identifying resources required to complete maintenance works that was identifies through the servicing regime
  • Ensuring the maintenance and service plans in their areas are efficiently carried out
  • Responding to unscheduled maintenance work so that impact on the operation is minimised
  • Contribute to site safety management/programmes/improvements
  • Contribute to the safe and productive improvements of processes and practices within your work area

About You:

  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of high voltage infrastructure equipment inclusive of high voltage trailing cables, High Voltage circuit breakers, High and Low voltage switchboards, transformers, powerlines and cable terminations will be viewed favourably 
  • High Voltage experience
  • Understanding of AS3000, Mines Regulations and Acts as well as other relevant standards, acts and regulations
  • Be self-motivated with a proactive approach and ability to problem solve

Qualifications & Licences:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current W.A. Electrical Workers Licence
  • High Voltage Switching certificate
  • Certificate of competency for EWP, Forklift (High Risk Licence)
  • Have a current manual C class drivers licence
