As Knowledge and Competence Management Staff Engineer you will be responsible to manage the governance of internal skills for the entire GTE engineering organization to capitalize and further develop people knowledge.

The role will be reporting to the Chief Engineering Office leader as part of the Project Engineering Office.

As a Knowledge and Competence Management Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Technical Talent Review (TTR) Governance & Deployment for the entire GTE engineering organization including coordination with CTO Senior Science and Technology Directors (IET & OFSE)
  • Development and governance of engineering Academies like Project Engineering in Florence team, Electric Instrumentation and Control in Bari team, and more
  • Lead training governance, identify budget allocation, guide training development in line with the competency development identified in the TTR and with the new engineering roles mapping.
  • Identify needs and drive governance in competencies certification (IPMA, INCOSE, IEC, Functional Safety, etc.) for GTE Engineering, in line with the organization needs
  • Plan and drive governance on international boards engineering participation (Hydrogen Council, Hydrogen Europe, ETN, etc.), international technical committees (ISO, IEC, API, ASME, etc..), as well as EU-funded programs (NHyRA, HyPowerGT, etc.) with special focus on Technical Titles engagement
  • Drive governance on technical papers both tactically and strategically, identify business needs and engineering development to best identify conference attendance, lead planning and coverage across the different opportunities (OTR / NPD / R&T)
  • Lead Design Practices (DP), and other standardization (e.g., DTS, ITN) development & planning. Identify budget and execution timing across the engineering organization
  • Manage and develop the Engineering Booklet reporting Engineering progress and initiatives results twice a year (1st and 2nd half of each year)
  • Connect across GTE Engineering, and in particular with Systems Engineering Office (SEO) and Technical Titles Holder to identify competencies gaps based on LRP needs and identify/agree with people leaders on appropriate mentoring / E-volve opportunities as needed

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have multi-year proven experience record in Program management
  • Have multi-year experience on knowledge management and relevant systems (TDA & Kahuna preferred)
  • Be knowledgeable on engineering processes and technical career progression
  • Have experience on training management (both technical and leadership)
  • Have basic knowledge of Turbomachinery products (Gas/Steam turbines, Centrifugal/Reciprocating compressors, Turboexpanders)
  • Be a clear thinker, and possess executive level presentation skills
  • Be motivated and results-driven, able to deliver under pressure in a dynamic environment.
