The UAT Tester will be a part of the Testing Center of Excellence based at Asset & Wealth Management Operations, India. As the Tester will be a part of a critical global team, it is important that the Tester has the aptitude and capability to systematically test application functionality, as part of the development /test cycle, and in preparation for the go-live phase of each development and also record the results correctly while maintaining good communication with stakeholders.

Ideally, the candidate should have prior experience of a Test environment, or a technical support environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform Regression & Functional User Acceptance Testing of systems used for AWM business processes
  • Assist in the parallel running of the current system to ensure the new system results are validated against the existing system
  • Documentation of UAT Test Scenarios - Test Cases / Test Scripts
  • Definition and preparation of Test Data
  • Identification and analysis of defects and work with Ops teams to ensure the quality of delivered software as well as ensuring timely bug resolution.
  • In parallel with testing responsibilities, the candidate will be required to assist in the delivery of monthly/quarterly reporting on the testing results.
  • Update any documentation that has gone out-of-date.

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous relevant experience in a test or technical support environment.
  • Test Preparation and Execution experience (preferably within business applications and processes)
  • Strong problem solving and good analytical skills (defect analysis and reporting)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of successful project completion working in a team
  • Ability to multi-task and test different applications relating to a release
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work on tight deadlines

The Automation Tester will be a part of the Testing Center of Excellence based at Asset & Wealth Management Operations, India. As the Tester will be a part of a critical global team, it is important that the Tester has the aptitude and capability to understand test application functionalities, as part of the development/test cycle in preparation for the go-live phase of each development and automate test cases simultaneously. Maintaining good communication with stakeholders will be a key factor.

Additional Specific Skill Set/Expertise to look for:

  • Practical experience in Test Automation using JAVA, Selenium, BDD Cucumber API testing and Database Knowledge.
  • Knowledge on one or more automation tools

Responsibilities

Technical

  • Must have expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, Java
  • Must have expertise in BDD / TDD – Behaviour Driven Development/ Test Driven Development
  • Sound knowledge on Version Control (Bitbucket, GIT)
  • Good to have knowledge of Test Design tools like Conformiq
  • Automation framework development using core Java
  • Hands on experience in maintaining Keyword, Data and Hybrid frameworks
  • Test data management using SQLs
  • Good reporting skills
  • Knowledge on Agile practices
