Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quality Assurance and Testing Analyst to join our team and contribute to the success of our BI analytics platform built on the Azure Stack. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software quality assurance, with a focus on end to end testing of complex data analytics systems. From data integration to front end UI. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and overall quality of our BI analytics platform, ensuring it meets the highest standards of accuracy and functionality.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for the BI analytics platform based on Azure Stack, ensuring thorough coverage of all system components and features.
  • Design/conduct various types of testing, including functional, performance and integration, to identify and report any defects or issues in the system.
  • Develop scenario testing to assess the impact of changes across various components, to avoid unintentional impacts and robustly ensure all core functionality is still working.
  • Oversee and manage the test plan execution over a wider pool of analysts (not direct reports).
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to understand system requirements and specifications, and provide valuable insights to improve the overall design and functionality of the BI analytics platform.
  • Document and communicate test results, including detailed reports on test findings, defects, and recommendations for improvement to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the product management team to prioritize testing tasks, identify critical areas for testing, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance the QA process, implementing best practices and methodologies to streamline testing procedures and improve overall efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and provide valuable input on product development, user experience, and system performance.
  • Help identify and define test cases which could be automated to reduce test burden and time.
  • Knowledge & Experience:
  • Azure Services Knowledge:
  • Understand the various Azure services related to data and analytics, such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing test cases, builds, and releases.

Qualifications

  • Degree in IT, Engineering, natural sciences, business IT degree or in any quantitative discipline
