Position summary and purpose: 

The Marketing Enabler position is a role that aims to enable Patient Journey Partners (PJPs), Healthcare Systems Partners (HSPs) and Patient Access Enablers (PAE). The Marketing Enabler’s impact is provided through networked approach (international network involvement even potentially up to 50%+ of total capacity). He/She joins and participates in international projects and initiatives, works in local squads but also across therapeutic areas and affiliates if needed. The role also intensively connects with customers based on customer needs and individual capabilities.

Initial focus disease area is ophthalmology and rare diseases, however over time the focus area might change based on needs. After about a year, there is an opportunity to apply for a disease area squad leadership role beyond marketing enablement.

Core responsibilities and tasks: 

  • Implementing Disease Area (DA) and product strategies/tactics in collaboration with the squad(s), Roche network and beyond
  • Generating and leading disease area and product marketing vision, strategies and tactics in alignment with DA Squad’s strategy
  • Developing and implementing creative and innovative commercial activities with strong customer focus that comply with legislation and ethical standards
  • Optimizing investment by ensuring high level of Return of Investment (RoI) on commercial activities
  • Supporting omnichannel customer engagement
  • Contributing to squad value with disease area expertise by understanding Roche & competitor data, staying updated on the market situation (customers, competitors, etc.) at therapeutic area and at product level, actively analyzing and incorporating/internalizing market information
  • Being responsible for Market Research Programs - managing and coordinating the data collection from patients, patient groups, caregivers/Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), involving the systematic collection, recording and analysis of data and findings about Roche's marketed medicinal products and relevant therapeutic areas in order to address business objectives where Roche may receive and collect information relating to the use of its medicinal products and relevant therapeutic areas
  • Ensuring continuous sales and logistics forecasting is supported by relevant data
  • Embracing the agile working principles – including driving iterations in collaboration with the squad
  • Influencing and developing the culture, dynamics and the competencies in the squad
  • Focusing on building digital capabilities internally and externally
  • Networking across functions and countries to share knowledge/information and best practices to ensure effective, relevant, impactful solutions
  • Actively participating in cross-functional, cross-divisional projects that generate value for customers in Hungary and sharing expertise to further develop the impact of Roche Network
  • Contributing to the North Star by bringing better outcomes for more patients faster
  • Balancing field and office based activities, actively engaging with external stakeholders through various channels, including personal collaboration with HCPs according to local, squad or global strategies.

Requirements, qualifications, mindset & behaviors:

  • University degree (scientific, economic, or business degree), or advanced degree in Life science and/or MBA is a plus
  • Exceptional therapy area experience may be considered but not mandatory (or economic/marketing background)
  • Knowledge in data analysis and statistics
  • Knowledge of commercialization processes
  • Digital literacy, good overview of digital solutions on the market supporting patients and therapeutic effectiveness, skilled in using digital tools, ability to involve stakeholders to digital solutions
  • Demonstrated ability & openness to work with agile working principles and methodologies
  • Demonstrating personal purpose around improving the healthcare ecosystem both locally and for Roche more broadly
  • Experience leading cross functional teams is desirable (both formulating cross-functional strategies and orchestrating cross-functional teams)
  • Practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies - ability to understand and leverage digital means and tools for the benefit of all stakeholders is highly desirable
  • Business acumen, impactful customer and stakeholder communication, excellent consulting, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Omnichannel marketing experience
  • Strong team player in the Squad - a sensitive colleague who senses, reflects and responds, builds bridges across geographical, cultural and functional boundaries to enhance collaboration 
  • Self managed and self directed - altruistic in supporting the global network
  • Enterprise and entrepreneurial mindset - thinking beyond boundaries and borders

  • Project management skills - ability to manage and lead projects with an outcome based mindset, ability to maintain focus on a long term strategy while successfully adapting to changing environmental conditions
  • Enabler & system thinker mindset - leveraging the internal and external networks to create value, sharing back and scaling
  • Growth mindset - ability to learn and unlearn quickly, take risks and experiment, and contribute to the learning cycle by sharing knowledge with others inside and outside Roche
  • Fluent in local language and proficient in English to collaborate internally across the broader Roche enterprise is expected.
