The role of a Consulting Member of Technical Staff involves designing, developing, and providing solutions for existing Merge Request development processes tools using Perl, Python, and shell scripts on both Unix and Windows platforms. Additionally, they are tasked with designing and developing next-generation tools utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Database Service, and API Gateway. This position also includes responsibilities such as analyzing and debugging complex problems or issues with existing tools. It requires a strong skill set in programming languages, familiarity with various platforms, and the ability to work with cloud-based technologies to enhance development processes effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mission-critical tools and applications.
  3. Strong communication and writing skills.

Required Skills: 

  • 7+ years' experience
  • Work independently 
  • Must have experience in Perl and Python
  • Experience with Unix, C, Shell. Makefile.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC), agile software development and change management systems.
  • Experience with Databases, Database querying (SQL/PLSQL).

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or any other cloud infrastructure platform.
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining Oracle Rest Data Services (ORDS) or any other RESTful APIs, API Gateway.

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
