Job Description

Telemundo Network is seeking a Graphic designer to join our dynamic award-winning team in our Miami, FL headquarters. You will work in our Design Department assisting with all aspects of broadcast production graphics for live entertainment shows and special projects. Designing concepts from inception to delivery.

This position requires experience and an understanding of live-show graphics workflows and the News Entertainment environment.

The successful candidate is a team player who thrives under the pressure of breaking news and enjoys multi-tasking. It is essential, that the designer be quick to respond to Breaking news, follow up protocol, and assist the team in collaborating with the graphics producer. 

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative designs to support editorial content for live television across all touchpoints, from broadcast to digital. 
  • Participate in the design and execution of elements ranging from on-air still graphics & special campaigns to show opens & animated packages.
  • Work cooperatively with Directors, Producers, Art Directors, and Creative Directors in creating graphics. 
  • Perform any associated duties that may be assigned in relation to the completion of project.
  • Actively participate in brainstorm sessions and support creative teams as needed. 
  • Must be capable of contributing to every phase of production, from concept development and storyboards to final renderings for delivery.

Basic Requirements

  • Degree in graphic design 
  • Advanced skills in animation and design, demonstrating strong creative.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Expert knowledge of After Effects 
  • Strong knowledge of 3D application (Maya, 3d Studio Max, Cinema 4D)
  • Understanding of broadcast production
  • Exceptional sense of layout, color theory, composition animation and typography
  • 2 years of experience working at a network or broadcast design agency
  • Must be highly organized, self-starting, and resourceful.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and high-energy environment.
  • Work well in a team and autonomously.

Additional Requirements

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
