Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is seeking an individual with an earned research doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related area for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The master’s program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of ASHA. Expertise in aphasia, dysphagia, phonological disorders or augmentative and alternative communication is desirable, but other areas of expertise will be considered. CCC-SLP and eligibility for NJ State Licensure strongly preferred. Responsibilities include teaching, research and service. Candidates should have a documented record of scholarship and excellence in teaching. Grant seeking, along with service to the department, university, and larger professional community are expected. The required and desirable characteristics are listed below. The successful candidate will begin in September 2024.

The Communication Sciences & Disorders department is housed approximately two miles from campus in Bloomfield, NJ. Classrooms (6), research laboratories (6), teaching laboratories (2), a computer laboratory, student lounge and study areas, faculty and staff offices, and the Center for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology are located in a 40,000 square foot, accessible space with ample parking. The department offers a Doctor of Audiology, Au.D. and a Master of Arts, M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology.
