Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Within Corporate Controlling, we drive company-wide activities regarding financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making as well as performance management. As a Senior Manager Financial Planning, you will play a critical role in the steering and execution of our Global Forecasting process as well as the integration of the process into our wider financial planning environment covering other internal planning processes (e.g. IBP) and the system landscape (e.g. CFIN/ SAC).

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Financial Forecasting Process:

  • Drive the evaluation of the current process and the identification of areas for improvement
  • Drive cross-functional alignments with stakeholders in and outside of Corporate Controlling, incl. controller community management
  • Drive standardization and automation of FC process steps, analysis and reporting tasks

Create Transparency through Analysis & Reporting:

  • Support board-level decision-making through reliable, transparent and accurate regular and ad-hoc analyses and insights
  • Drive the development and standardization of analysis and reporting packages (e.g. run-rate analysis)

Unlock SAC Potential:

  • Explore opportunities to leverage new system functionalities; identify process improvement opportunities and supervise their implementation (e.g., reporting)
  • Act as main point of contact for stakeholders from the project/product team

Manage Priority Projects & Adhoc Support:

  • Develop the scope of new projects, structure workplans and define end products
  • Support project management and decision making for critical financial planning milestones
  • Support critical ad-hoc tasks across the Financial Planning & Strategic Controlling teams

Key Relationships:

  • Sales/Market Finance team
  • Finance functions in Markets and HQ (FP&A managers and controllers) for liaising, information exchange and alignment
  • Global Demand Planning

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Process-orientated and end-to-end mindset driven
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills (structuring, analysis, synthesis)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including stakeholder management, influencing, executive presence and effective/top-down engagement with senior executives
  • Analytical mindset and facility with numbers
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting
  • Ideally experience with planning software (SAP) and PowerBI (or similar tools)
  • Innovative, action-oriented and solution-minded team player

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree or qualification in Business, Finance or Economics
  • 5+ years of broad-based (Corporate) Finance experience from global corporations
