LPL Financial is hiring for a full-time exempt AVP, Real Estate Strategy. This will be a key role in driving real estate portfolio optimization, capacity planning and investment decisions for the Corporate Real Estate function. Areas of focus will including scenario modeling, long-range forecasting, and process improvements that integrate real estate transaction, occupancy planning, capital investment and expense drivers. The AVP, Real Estate Strategy will work across Corporate Real Estate and Human Resources functions and with business unit stakeholders to facilitate discussions on real estate opportunities and will structure integrated analytics to translate findings into action.

A week in the life of this role may include such activities as presenting real estate growth alternatives to senior leaders; facilitating a working session to identify cost savings opportunities in facilities management, developing capacity plans in response to long-term headcount forecasts, and presenting business cases to Finance leaders to justify the need to invest new capital into space renovations and improvements.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive portfolio optimization studies, capacity planning, and investment recommendations across LPL real estate footprint
  • Design and manage functional dashboards, process metrics, and trending analytics for corporate real estate comparing to industry benchmarks and established targets.
  • Take on and execute special projects and ad-hoc analytics, i.e. process improvements, savings initiatives, business case justifications
  • Partner with Human Capital analytics team to identify real estate impacts and enablers to support workforce planning initiatives
  • Serve as a data steward and go to person to provide, validate, and answer questions about Corporate Real Estate data and analytics

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience in a professional corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field
  • Experience in real estate strategy and/or consulting or a highly transferable skillset
  • Strong grasp of lease transactions and real estate financial concepts including cash flow and GAAP accounting rules for rent, operating expenses, and capital
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Ppoint, Word) and able to navigate a variety of analytical software and reporting packages (e.g. Power BI, mapping analytics tools, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate disparate data sources and translate data into actionable information and high impact presentations

Additional Requirements:

  • Motivation to learn new things; exhibits intellectual curiosity
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment, and able to autonomously drive forward momentum, multi-task and appropriately prioritize work
  • Experience in location strategy and site selection analytics a plus

Pay Range:

$93,640-$140,460/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
