Product Marketing Manager

As a Product Marketing Manager at Nikola, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our zero-emission truck lineup (hydrogen fuel cell electric and battery electric) by developing and executing strategic marketing plans. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development, engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure our products meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform product positioning and messaging. 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for our Class 8 zero-emissions truck lineup, including new vehicle launches, grassroots efforts and ongoing product lifecycle management. 
  • Collaborate with product development teams to define product features, specifications, and pricing strategies that resonate with target audiences. 
  • Develop marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, and digital content to showcase product features and benefits. 
  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution, including coordinating with sales teams to ensure alignment on messaging and promotional activities. 
  • Drive demand generation initiatives through integrated marketing campaigns, leveraging channels such as digital advertising, social media, grassroots programs and events. 
  • Analyze campaign performance and market feedback to continuously optimize marketing strategies and tactics. 
  • Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product roadmap and marketing strategies. 

Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of proven experience in product marketing within the heavy load trucking industry. 
  • Strong understanding of the heavy load trucking market dynamics, customer segments, and competitive landscape. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop integrated marketing plans across multiple channels. 
  • Strong research and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously and remain nimble to change. 
  • Passion for the trucking industry and a genuine interest in staying ahead of industry trends and innovations. 
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and product launches. 
  • Self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative with minimal direction and can recommend sound and creative solutions to challenges that arise. 
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) not required but should be willing to acquire if needed. 

Technical Skills: 

  • Mac or PC literate and strong technical skills. 
  • Knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, Outlook 
  • Heavy Load Trucking Industry Knowledge 
  • Digital Marketing Skills: Familiarity with digital marketing tools and techniques, including search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing. 
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on the latest developments in automotive technology, marketing trends, and industry best practices through continuous learning and development. 
  • A willingness to go above and beyond to assist your colleagues. 

Candidates must have current U.S. work authorization or be TN eligible from Mexico or Canada. This position is not eligible for CPT or OPT.
