Field Events Marketing Manager

The Capital One Software marketing team is seeking a Field Events Marketing Manager with strong experience in integrated event management and strategy development. This individual will drive event strategy and partner with sellers to create net-new business opportunities, accelerate existing pipeline opportunities and deepen current customer relationships. 

What you’ll do

  • Drive strategy, planning and execution of owned and partner events (including in-person, virtual and hybrid) to promote Capital One Software products
  • Build and manage integrated/multi-channel campaigns, in partnership with channel leads and cross functional teams, that drive awareness, engagement and attendance with events
  • Support Sales & Customer teams with messaging, materials and tactics that drive unified and effective pipeline building - before, during and after events
  • Collaborate with marketing operations and channels teams to deliver event-driven social, digital and email campaigns, including post-event nurture campaigns to convert leads into opportunities and accelerate leads through the sales cycle
  • Ensure event messaging and content developed (such as collateral or presentation material) reflects buyer persona needs
  • Compile resource lists and develop templated assets/playbooks based on best practices and past learnings that can be used to execute repeatable events at scale 
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of events, monitor ongoing results and present learnings/results to partner teams
  • Foster valuable partnerships with COS stakeholders across sales, customer success and product teams to ensure event strategy aligns with business imperatives
  • Develop strong relationships with external partners to lead co-marketing initiatives 
  • Champion a holistic events learning agenda, informing short- and long-term where Capital One Software should attend and invest

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • At least 3 years experience in an events strategy, planning or marketing role
  • At least 6 years experience in a marketing role

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in an events strategy or planning role
  • 7 or more years in a marketing role
  • 2 or more year experience in an events marketing role for technology SaaS products
  • Understanding and familiarity with ABM strategies and programs
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with experience in cross-functional and matrixed teams 
  • Startup experience
  • Virtual event planning experience – including webinars and interactive experiences
  • In-person event planning experience – including tech conferences, trade shows, VIP dinners, networking / happy hours

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $147,800 - $168,700 for Manager, Brand

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
