About the Opportunity
The Jacobs Power and Energy team provides a range of services to our transmission and distribution clients including the design of their system assets and the planning of the future networks. We also work closely with Renewable developers and mission critical industries in the technology and process sector. The role of ‘Senior/ Principal Power System Engineer’ in our ‘Future Power Systems’ team is one of the components of a growth strategy to position Jacobs to meet the requirements of energy transition activities within the Europe and Middle East (EMEA) region.
As part of our team, you’ll be providing a range of services throughout the Power System study projects. This includes Power System modelling, feasibility studies, Grid Code compliance studies, Grid Interconnection/impact studies, Insulation Coordination Studies, technical reports, technical bid preparation, attend the customer meetings etc.
As this is a Senior/Principal role, you will also be required to guide the technical discipline at the senior level, delivering innovative solutions that provide excellent value to our clients.

The successful candidate will effectively support our business by helping to grow activities in transmission and distribution. This will include modelling and performing various power system studies for our major energy clients worldwide. Projects which typically in all the areas of Power sector right from generation (conventional & non-conventional), transmission, distribution and industrial systems.
We have diverse design teams based at offices in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, and Bristol; however, we require the flexibility to travel across all our offices and client locations. Work from home arrangements are available although a regular weekly presence in your home office would be required.
