SEO Analyst - Recommends 

At Fortune Media, we are reinventing how a storied brand, steeped in journalism and business, adapts to today’s digital-first world. The digital transformation of Fortune from a print magazine to a multi-channel media company is in full swing, and we want you to be a part of it. 

The Product team oversees all digital properties at Fortune including our new e-commerce offering - Recommends. Our goal is to optimize our Recommends product and evolve the diversification of new revenue and improve the user experience and monetization of existing functionality. 

We are seeking an SEO Analyst to join the Product team to focus on the Recommends product. You will work with other Product team members and stakeholders throughout the company. You will be hands-on, collaborative, and pivotal in facilitating the next step in Fortune’s evolution by focusing on driving site performance and organic search traffic for our products. This role will operationalize the tactics associated with the strategic direction for all search optimization efforts as well as perform content audits and optimizations to improve search traffic as well and support the maintenance of the content roadmap. You will review web page content, identify content opportunities, and create competitive analyses. You will support technical SEO efforts to improve indexing and crawling, as well as enhance internal linking and the overall user experience. Additionally, you will build reports to measure KPIs on content performance, help create content templates, and spread awareness of best practices. 

This role will report to the Director of Search Strategy, on the Product Team. 

Requirements: 

  • 2-3 years of direct working experience as a Search Engine Optimization professional with a focus on holistic SEO content 
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Search Console 
  • Proficiency in Ahrefs, Conductor, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools. 
  • Experience with E-commerce, a plus 
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and how SPA sites affect SEO
  • Solid understanding of SEO core concepts and techniques  
  • Strong team player with a proven ability to work cross-functionally, especially with development and editorial teams.  
  • Relentless prioritization and organizational ability
  • Ability to develop tactics that are actionable and measurable as well as communicate strategic importance to all stakeholders 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent written skills and editorial experience are a plus 
  • Diligence and attention to detail 
  • Collaborative, diplomatic, and excellent communicator 
  • Preferred but not required, bachelor's degree in areas of study such as Engineering, Marketing or Product Management 

Compensation Range:

$100,000.00 - $115,000.00
