This will include applying as well as developing deep learning techniques focused on MEMS design, design optimization to meet specific performance targets, analyzing stability of specific MEMS devices and MEMS application to sensing and transduction. This research requires conducting experimental work that involves developing and automating test infrastructure, data analysis, feature engineering and design of experiments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, apply deep learning models, and develop new models for MEMS design metrics like temperature stability, aging, and quality factor optimization.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your work experience, graduate school, post-doc research and/or relevant internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or any related fields (Statistics, Applied Math, etc.).
  • 6+ months of course work and/or experience in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering focusing on control theory-in particular, stability analysis.
  • 6+ months of experience using Multiphysics modeling tools.
  • 6+ months of experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or tensor flow
  • 6+ months of experience with different Deep Learning networks including convolution networks, recurrent networks, and language training models.
  • 6+ months of experience in MATLAB, python, and C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience with COMSOL Multiphysics tool.
  • 6+ months experience in design and/or fabrication of MEMS devices.
  • Experience in measurement characterization of devices: Vector Network Analyzer, Impedance Analyzer, and oscilloscope usage.
  • Experience with measurement equipment software: labview, matlab control, and/or python interfaces.
  • Experience applying machine learning techniques on time series data
  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments
