Job Description: 

As an RF Technology Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Define and optimize device specifications/performance and its relationship to device processes.
  • Work with semiconductor process teams on novel integration/process flows.
  • Perform device characterization including DC and RF measurements, and conduct data analysis to demonstrate best in class device performance.
  • Collaborate with various teams such as test, process, reliability, manufacturing, failure analysis, and research organizations.
  • Address customer requests or issues which may involve the definition of a custom device.

Additional responsibility includes:

  • Defines, designs, and develops complex radio frequency integrated circuits in IPs and SoCs and creates verification test plans for RF validation.
  • Conducts transistor level feasibility analysis, defines floorplan and layout for RF circuit architecture, creates test benches, and verifies and debugs design to meet the desired specifications.
  • Performs radio signal path and ensures detailed transistor level design for transceivers, RFIC blocks, wireless applications (4G, 5G, WLAN, Bluetooth, and GPS). - Applies understanding of electromagnetic theory, communication theory, radio frequency test equipment, RF and wireless circuit design, RF system analysis, RF system block characterization, and specification to resolve issues and conduct RF verification.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

Candidate must possess MS with 3+ years of experience or PhD degree with 1+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Device Physics, Microelectronics, or related fields.

1+ years of lab experience in the following:

  • High frequency instruments such as VNA and/or Spectrum Analyzer and/or wafer probe station and/or load-pull/source-pull measurement system and/or Flicker noise measurement system.

Preferred qualifications:

2+ years of experience in the following:

  • Advanced semiconductor process, and/or RF/Analog technology developments in CMOS, SiGe, or III-V based semiconductor technologies.
  • Modern device physics (FinFET, GAA, HEMT, HBT, etc.).
  • RF/mm Wave circuits (PA, LNA, SW, Mixer, VCO, PLL) or AMS (DAC/ADC).
  • Design and testing integrated circuits with strong fundamentals in RF or AMS.
