ChampionX is seeking for a Technical Service Representative to work in an offshore rotation.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform sampling, analyses, and testing of water process streams and their conditions and quality.
  • Maintain bulk chemical inventories at injection skids/locations.
  • Maintain chemical dosing rates.
  • Supervise installation/removal/change of chemical injection sites.
  • Prepare and distribute regularly scheduled reporting and other reports as requested.
  • Update and maintain the chemical program database.
  • Support the chemical treating program by performing and/or assisting Company personnel.
  • Work closely with current customers to understand business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales within assigned district.
  • Identify business opportunities across districts and business groups.
  • Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer complaints, escalating as required.
  • Anticipate customer needs based on knowledge of customer processes and operations; identify unmet customer needs.
  • Participate in Company meetings as requested.
  • Comply with and maintain safety programs.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Technical degree in chemistry
  • Studying an Engineering or Chemistry at university
  • Minimum 1 year experience in oil/water production sampling and troubleshooting.
  • Good technical writing skills, competent computer skills.
  • Active CRQ membership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Problem solving skills
  • Prior experience in the oilfield
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management, ability to multi-task
